Only a few hours after the release of Joomla 3.6, customers started reporting a problem with not being able to see JomSocial's backend. We immediately got to work and provided a patch that you can find here.
JomSocial 4.2.2 is mostly a bugfix release squishing all the bugs found since the previous version. It also introduces a new feature allowing administrators to require repeating the email address during the registration process. To see the list of all changes, visit our changelog page.
JomSocial 4.2 has been available for a while and feedback has been absolutely amazing. We’re hard at work on the updates, and we’ve also started implementing the features we planned for 4.3.

JomSocial 4.2 RC (Release Candidate) 1 is available for everyone with an active license but we’ve also made a significant bugfix release for JomSocial 4.1 too. And Socialize has now been completely updated to support JomSocial 4.2.

Joomla 3.5 has also (finally!) been released, and we are thrilled to report that JomSocial 4.2 is one of the first extensions that officially supports it.
