We've just released a fantastic new version of our JomSocial tempalte - Socialize! Version 1.2.5. This version has fixes to all known bugs plus a few new features:

JomSocial version 3.1.1 is out!

Yes, I know. You were expecting version 3.2. It’s coming, really soon! (currently testing internally and beta is coming next week).

In the meantime, it was important for us to release a version with a bunch of bug fixes and a new security fix to a vulnerability that was reported by a customer.

You can see the list of all the bugs that were fixed for this release on our change log. There are few known bugs that we didn’t get to fix for this release, these will be included on the next major release, version 3.2, you can find a list of these bugs here.

In October, we announced the release of JomChat - the chat platform specially designed for JomSocial by the team at Blooie.

When it comes to getting free traffic for your website, there’s no better strategy than SEO. It’s effective, it’s important, it pays… and it’s about as much fun as washing dishes.

Which is why at iJoomla, we created the first ever SEO component for Joomla. “Meta Tags Generator” was launched back in 2006 and has made SEO work on Joomla much, much easier. It has since evolved into a much more powerful SEO solution called iSEO (or iJoomla SEO).

Yesterday we released version 3.1.0.4 which fixes two vulnerabilities.

As a result of the first vulnerability, our own site was hacked. Thankfully, our security experts spotted the attack very quickly and our developers raced out a patch. The information of how to exploit this vulnerability can be found easily by hackers, so you should upgrade right away, to protect your site.

While we were blocking that attack, we also spotted another vulnerability: the opportunity to exploit CStringHelper::escape function to execute eval method. With this new fix, hackers will no longer be able to execute eval function. It’s all a bit technical, but the point is: it’s fixed and we were able to prevent a potential problem.

All JomSocial site admins are encouraged to upgrade to this version as soon as possible.

We are happy to announce that our JomSocial 3.1.0.2 hotfix release is now available. You may retrieve the latest version from your Account

What is new in this version?

We invested a bold effort in this hotfix testing the reported issues in many different environments and outlined issues are hopefully fixed once and for all. here are some highlights for the release

• We made the description editor in groups more stable, forcing it to show up every time.
• We stabilized the datepicker even more and,
• It is now possible to create the groups from back end again.
