Nobody wants to join an empty and inactive community. No one!So you've put up a Joomla site, added JomSocial and linked to it on your main menu and now what? Most likely, nothing much is happening! It’s been a year since iJoomla took over JomSocial. That’s a year of hard work, planning and development. It’s been a year of change and progress and radical improvement.

The release of JomSocial RC1 went very smoothly so I’m now happy to announce the stable release of JomSocial 3.1.
In my previous email I wrote about the great new admin interface on JomSocial 3.1. You can read all about it here. Before you rush off and upgrade, though, there are a few more things you should know.
First, you’ll be happy to hear that this is the smoothest release we’ve ever had for JomSocial. Only a few minor issues were reported in JomSocial RC1 and they were usually the result of some structural changes that we made. They can all be resolved pretty quickly by following this wiki document:

We didn’t get a chance to enable the repositioning of cover photos in JomSocial 3.0. It was the top request for the next update. It’s there now.
JomSocial 3.1 RC1 comes with a brand new, user-friendly and really beautiful admin interface!
I was never a big fan of the old JomSocial admin. I always found it a bit confusing and plain and dull. So once we got JomSocial 3.0 out the door, we got to work giving the old interface a complete facelift.
Much anticipated Joomla 3.2 version is finally here.
If you're going to upgrade your site to Joomla 3.2, please, first upgrade to JomSocial 3.0.5.3 which can be downloaded from account section. If you already upgraded site to Joomla 3.2, please apply the patch provided on forums.
Joomla 2.5.x IS NOT affected and you can freely continue using JomSocial 3.0.5.2 if your site still running any version of Joomla 2.5

On JomSocial 3.0, we’ve implemented a very rigorous testing process for all our major versions. We execute thousands of test cases to see what breaks and we fix these issues before we release. This is what we are doing now for JomSocial 3.1.
It’s a tough process but a huge improvement over the previous ad-hoc testing system.
It’s now become clear that we have to do the same thing with minor releases.
