JomSocial 2.8 Beta 2

Beta 2 build for the upcoming JomSocial 2.8 is now available for download. When we say "available",  we really mean it. We have decided to open the beta build for everyone in the Joomla! community to play with. Every single Joomla! user will be able to login to our development forum and download the latest build

For those who has been following the development for this release, you will know that this is quite a significant release for us. Among other things we have tightened the underlying code, removal of Joomla! 1.5 dependencies that lead to leaner and of course faster platform, revamping the template structure to prepare for Joomla! 3.0/3.1 and ultimately 3.5 compatibility and numerous other highlights as mentioned in our beta changelog.

Transifex Improvement

We are also improving our translation repository which is managed in Transifex. We now keep the latest development branch on the main transifex project and maintain language for other versions on separate project. Our objective is simple. We aim to supply as many translations into the main package as possible. There are many of you already contributing and we hope to see more of you guys there.
