It's official...JomSocial 1.2 with Video is here!
The wait is over! After several months of planning/development/testing, Jomsocial 1.2 with Video has been released! We hope you'll love this upgrade as many of you have been asking for several of these features...not the least of which is built-in Video! Now, uploading or embedding video from your JomSocial profile page is as easy as clicking an icon. No 3rd party components to configure at all; it's all built right into the 1.2 core!

1. VIDEO: JomSocial 1.2x now comes with built-in VIDEO posting capabilities--fully integrated into the core so you and your users can upload videos directly to your community or embed videos from 3rd party video sharing sites--such as Youtube, Vimeo, Blip.tv, MySpace videos and more! Video-posting capabilities are built right into JomSocial...so there's no need for separate video components to configure. It's all in JomSocial 1.2x!
2. FACEBOOK CONNECT: To make the registration process hassle-free at your community, we've introduced the new Facebook-Connect login-module in JomSocial 1.2 so your members can log-in to your JomSocial-powered community using their Facebook account details. Profile pics, status updates & more are “pulled in" safely & securely from Facebook, making it easy for new and existing users to sign up and stay logged into your community. With over 200 millions active users worldwide, chances are someone registering at your JomSocial-powered community will already be a member of Facebook. Now, you can make it EASY for them to register at your community with the Facebook-Connect module in JomSocial 1.2!
3. WALL COMMENTS: Your members can now comment on their friends' wall posts in JomSocial 1.2, just like Facebook® and other popular social networks! In previous versions, users could post to walls, but comments about wall posts were treated as separate posts. Not anymore...In JomSocial 1.2, your wall posts and their respective comments will all be on the same line, which makes it easier for you and your visitors to keep track of discussions as they unfold on your wall.
4. MYBLOG 3.0 Integration: Blogs are a good way to keep new visitors to your site coming back for more! And in JomSocial 1.2, your members can have their very own blogs, post entries directly from their profile pages, and share those blog posts with friends via the New MyBlog3/JomSocial plugin (*MyBlog 3.0, a separate purchase, must first be installed on your server). Additionally, your members' blog posts will now show up in your community's Activity Stream; JomSocial Avatar support is included, and each member can accumulate "user points" with every blog post they make!
