I think my last joomla update may have messed up my jomsocial... has the latest version got any issues with users be redirected to their profile when they login, even thou login and out are both set to the homepage (which works perfectly for logout)...

Figures there's going to be an exciting release after my sub runs out :'( Has there been any major changes in the handling of video uploads with the 4.1beta when it becomes RC. Have had troubles with video upload since installing and still only works sometimes. One of the more important, but least reliable aspects of Jomsocial.

anyone having trouble with new user registrations since 4.02? Form doesn't complete and goes back to the registration form

craig ok, seems to be something with the no-captcha (JS default) as I turned that off and registrations work. Of course we obviously don't want to leave that off for to long 9 years ago

Do you think we could have the confirmation of email address on the registration page as an option in an upcoming JS release (eg, you have to enter it twice like almost every site you register for on the internet)? Still loosing potential members due to incorrectly entered email addresses. Most of these users decide the site's not working as they don't receive an email and don't bother to come... Show more

Is there a quick and easy way to customise the registration screen? What I want to do is to either add a note above email that it's case sensitive and please double check it, or require the email address to be entered twice to check. How come when you open an image on here, select share, select facebook you end up trying to share www.facebook.com instead of the actual content? Would be a very nice feature to have working :'-(

Does anyone know why when I open up a photo, click options and goto share if I select facebook/google+ (only 2 I have to test with) it doesn't come up with being able to find the picture? For facebook it just comes up with the url for facebook in the share area

I've broken the Who's Online module.... it shows in the menu with an X, if I click to publish it stays with the X however, going into it it shows as published... Of course it doesn't show on any pages >:-/

craig I've fixed it Because I went into manager in the extension manager and disabled the module it wasn't allowing me to enable it when I went into the module manager at a later time. Click the red cross and it would stay a red cross. Once I'd gone back into the extension manager and enabled it it was working as normal... Bit of a glitch somewhere, but it's all working 9 years ago

craig Usually there's a lock shown when an extension's in use by another user, this isn't the case and if it's a built in function since version 1. I suggest you use something like a lock to show it's checked out, rather than having no indication that an item is checked out. FFMPEG trouble : Have installed ffmpeg, it's located in /usr/bin/ffmpeg I can run it in the ssh shell and convert a video uploaded into jomsocial at the command line successfully BUT

Cron job simply comes up with "Could not convert video"...

Any ideas? Does anyone know the actual code sent from jomsocial that I could type direct into ssh to see if it completes successfully?

craig Love Sentora... seems, although I'm sure I double checked it that I hadn't removed the disable's in the /etc/sentora/configs/apache directory Which is where I thought the problem was since ffmpeg was running from the command line. Was using Zpanel prior to this, but since being taken over commercially support and progress for it died. Sentora however seems to have a very active community running 9 years ago

Hey, anyone out there able to give me a few pointers to get video uploads working? I've got ffmpeg installed (so far as I can tell), but all I get in the cron job is "Could not convert video"... is driving me nuts. Hopefully later down the track they'll stream line some idiots guide for me to follow Running 4.0_RC_1 on Centos 7. private message me if you can help.

Michał Hmmm, this version should be fine... Could you do a test. Install on the same server JomSocial 3.2.1.6 and check if video conversion works. Then will know if this issue is server wide or related with JomSocial version. 9 years ago
