Hey, anyone out there able to give me a few pointers to get video uploads working? I've got ffmpeg installed (so far as I can tell), but all I get in the cron job is "Could not convert video"... is driving me nuts. Hopefully later down the track they'll stream line some idiots guide for me to follow Running 4.0_RC_1 on Centos 7. private message me if you can help.

Check FFMPEG version, many Centos uses very old version.

Version 2.3.4 ... would that be causing me the trouble or is that the correct version? (yup, steap learning curve on the linux front here! But getting there).

Hmmm, this version should be fine... Could you do a test. Install on the same server JomSocial 3.2.1.6 and check if video conversion works. Then will know if this issue is server wide or related with JomSocial version.

Got it all working, was a .conf configuration problem rather than ffmpeg
