I have two questions.

1. Currently the page shows the profile page after users login. How to set up the homepage as the page after users login?

2. Homepage activities (before login)

How can I set up the activities only show the featured members post?

Thanks

Hi, linda.

1. You can set redirections in JomSocial: Backend -> Components -> Jomsocial -> Configuration -> Site -> Frontpage (Top right):

- Redirect Successful Logins
- Redirect Successful Logout

2. You can set Homepage activities as a default main page in Joomla!: Backend -> Menus -> menu with that menu item -> mark it with star.

3. You can't do that in administration panel... you'll need to rebuild posting system. And most likely you'll need a developer to do that:
www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Can you please check?

The set-up for "Configuration -> Site" does not work. The page still shows profile page after login and I have changed it to frontpage.

Hi, linda.

You want to redirect to your JomSocial homepage or to your site homepage?

I do not know what you mean "JomSocial homepage or to your site homepage".

My problem is the following does not work and i have set up the "Redirect Successful Logins" to Frontpage (Top right) but it still shows the profile page after login. Why it does not work? It should be work after changing the setup on the configuation and then site page.

Backend -> Components -> Jomsocial -> Configuration -> Site -> Frontpage (Top right):

- Redirect Successful Logins
- Redirect Successful Logout

Can you please go to my Backend -> Components -> Jomsocial -> Configuration -> Site -> Frontpage (Top right) and then see the set up?

You can use the admin login info and then login and see the page.

I have attached it for your reference.

Can you please check the problem?

"The Frontpage Title" does not work as well and no matter what I change on the backend there is no change on the website.

I have to change the system - global configuration and then it will work.

Hi, Linda.

Let me put it that way:
- site homepage is page that you set as a default in Backend -> Menu -> Main menu -> item marked with a star
- JomSocial frontapge is page with Main Activity stream.

As I can see in your case both are the same page. JomSocial frontpage is your site homepage :)

You had enabled System - Jomsocial Redirect that overrided redirect settings from JomSocial component. I disabled it and now redirection works as it should. I also set redirection to your homepage in Login From module.

Thanks.

I found another problem.

There are 2 links to register as a new user. One is the link, "Join us now, it's free! " which is on the homepage banner and another one is "Create an account" under the login form.

The "Join us now, it's free! " link to the register page is correct, but the "Create an account" link does not correct.

I have had this problem before and Chris fixed it but after you changed the setup and the problem is back.

Can you please check.

Hi, Linda.

It's because you use Joomla! Login From module so no wonder that registration link in that module redirect to Joomla core registration. Use rather Hello me module instead.

Hi Michal,

We want to keep how it look like.

Please advise how can I change the link and how to use Hello me module?

What change you made the link is back to the Joomla core registration?

Last time Chris helped to redirect to link to the correct one. We want to change it back.

Thanks.
