I've recently upgraded to JomSocial 4.4.2 from 4.3.5. I'm experiencing the following issues:
As per post few days ago, I've just now backed up via Akeeba backup, upgraded site to version 4.4.2.
I've disabled the interface to CometChat.

(same username & password as per main administrator user on backend).

Thank you for contacting us.
It seems that issues was caused by database. During installation some columns ware missing in _community_chat_activity.
In case like this solution will be to remove that table from database.
Then install JomSocial again (no need to unistall it).
Then Browse to Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Mail queue and click Execute cron ( button upper right corner).

Thanks very much, I have a cron job running every minute, thanks for fixing table. There still seems to be an issue.
User 'Stephen [nsn admin]' = me, when open mail icon, I see several messages from user 'Mozzie' (and other users too). When I click the username expecting to be taken to users 'Mozzie' messages they do not appear. Plus when do a search for messages from username 'Mozzie' only 1 message displayed, Can you take a look please?
Also what are these entries for in the list? see last 3 attachment images.

When clicking on user name, you'll be take to user profile.
It seems that you're using JS Toolbar and it doesn't work well with chat. I reported that already to our developers.
I can't login to your account "stephen". Please, edit first post and provide credentials once again.

Please note that the username in question is not 'stephen' but is 'stephen [nsn admin'
I installed the JS Toolbar module on yours/Dimas's suggestion.
I did need to fix colour myself, When is there to be a fix for this?

Okay, here is what's going on: you disable JomSocial toolbar (displayed on JS pages) and use JS Toolbar module that has a bug with chat mesages.
We're working of fix.

As for template and template issue: your template use nearly the same color for links as your toolbar is. <a> follows template css so the only option is to use override in this case - just like you did.
Hi Michal,
I've disabled JS toolbar module & enabled Toolbar within the Component, when logged in as 'stephen [nsn admin]' is showing that there are 17 unread messages, all from username 'mumoffive' - as I open the messages, the counter drops as it should, but when refresh the page, the counter goes back to 17 messages.
Also the messages are all showing as being blank content.

I've sent you a PM relating to caching on Chrome browser, for other people reading this thread, there is an alternative to fully clearing chrome cache, open the site in question using incognito mode, this does not use caching and should help identify a cache problem.

Thank you. Yes, we narrow down this issue to Chrome caching problem. This is commonly known issue and web offers many ways to solve it. Incognito mode or browser restart cold do the job.
