Hi,
I use JomSocial with Guru and I have now 2 registrations process, how can I use only the JomSocial registration process when a user is redirected to enroll to a course.
Thanks for your help.

HI.
I assign Guru developer to this therad.
Ok, thanks, I wait.
We could imagine a simple redirection if necessary.

Hi,
Is my topic here a feature request or is development ongoing ?
What's new about Guru ACL issues :

Hi,
Are you here ?
Is my topic here a feature request or is development ongoing ?
Regards.
I'm waiting for 6 weeks just to know if you work on it or not.
If it's too hard I will look for another solution, but I have to know.
Regards.
Hi Jean-Charles,
Sorry for my late response on this issue, somehow I miss the ticket.
The idea is that we need a separate registration because Guru must have two kind of users: students and teachers. At this moment JomSocial is creating users like Joomla do but can't assign them as teachers or students. So, only Guru can create these two user types and that way two registrations are required. But, Guru registration is used mainly to create teachers and students and not default Registered users.
Regards,
Alin
Hi Alin,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried a test where I registered with JomSocial and I enrolled a course. I was assigned automatically to Students when I enrolled the course.
Everything works fine without the Guru registration.
In my project, I don't need teachers, so I think I don't need Guru registration.
Here, I'm not waiting for a job from your team, I can understand it's a big job, I just need an advice to know how I could redirect the user to JomSocial registration.
I guess 2 solutions :
- 301 redirection (with sh404sef)
- change the right line in the right Guru file (but where ?)
Thanks for your advice.
Regards.
Hi,
I made custom changes in "/components/com_guru/views/gurulogin/tmpl/editform.php" file. Lines 14-18, please let me know if this is not what you want.
Alin,
The redirection works, perfect :-)
Can I create an override to be able to upgrade Guru in the future ?
Just one thing :
in the previous ticket
you deleted the cart process for a connected user because of free course. Is it possible to do it here too and to be redirected directly to the next step ?
If not, I will find another solution.
Many thanks.
Regards.
Yes, you can try an rewrite that file in your template, and for skip to second step, you can't do this, the users need to add theirs name, email...
Alin,
When I talk about "to be redirected directly to the next step", I mean the registration / login page here :
nimb.ws/SYxQH9
Is it possible to skip the cart process (like you do it in the previous ticket) and to be redirected to this page ?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.
If that course is free for that user and that user is logged, when he open that lesson, he need to Enroll first to that lesson, no need to buy that course.
If that lesson is not free for that logged user, when he open that lesson, he need to select a price plan for that course and then redirect to cart, he can't be redirected to log-in/register page in Guru.
Even if a user is not logged in site and try to open that lesson, he can't be redirected to other page but cart page.
