Does anyone know how I can change my registation page requirements to make it harder to register on my site. I would also like to have it so I would have to verify and review their registration form application before I let them join of have access to my site?

Mindgem You can use the joomla setting to need to validate the registration by email confirmation... bit wobbly in Jomsocial but in general it works 2 years ago

Dimas,

I just checked the events page again this morning. It is all messed up again and you can't put the date and time on again. This is been going on for a month and it works some days and some days it's messed up again. I gave you the FTP. The URL, the username. the password. and I checked with sitelock and you should have access. What else do I need to do to get the site right?

I like the way this site now fits the entire screen. It seems bigger than the last time I was on here. Is there a way that I can make my joomsocial site expand to "full screen" like this? This looks great!

marcel I'm doing something wrong. Or am I treated here for some reason differently? Is it because I do not write English well? 3 years ago

I am very glad that I get a personal answer from you, I have researched something about you and know that they already have some websites successfully online. And this is what I would like to be successful with my site.
What I do not want is that someone makes everything for me, I work as well as I can. But I think I need some guidance, if I look at my site in the frontend I...

Just curious: I notice there are three columns on this site. Is there any way to have one or more of the columns be "stationary" and not scroll down with the rest when you scroll down?

a Guest What template are you using? because this is depend your template, for further information please create new topic and I will catch you there 3 years ago

If you saw it working, it can be done but as Dimas said, it will depend on the template you're using. \

Gunnar Hi Merav, It's like Pina Colada and oysters , some like it, some don't. I actually today posted a Q in the support forum where I also asked about a sticky module that stays on top and does not move an inch when you scroll down the stream. I like it. Facebook likes it. And perhaps you will too when you see my new site come to completion some time in the beginning of Februar. You never know. 3 years ago

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help me figure out why my photos on my main stream go "single file" down the stream instead of "grouping" like it does on here?

Photos are being loaded.

I am having trouble on my Joomsocial site when people post multiple pics, they string down one at a time in single file instead of grouping side by side as in this stream. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix it. My site is: RCneighborhood.com thx joe

Is there a way to make for instance this main stream move down as it is like facebook does and have any of the other columns stay stationary, or is there any plans in the future to possibly be able to control one or two of the columns to slide up and down and leave some stationary?

Siniša Krišan Ofcourse there is but then you will need to use Joomla template with 2 or 3 columns where component area can be moved while sidebars are fixed.
There are also some plugins that alter the css and try to do it on the fly, but its not really recommended to do that.

Also, you need to be careful with static bar as visible area that is displayed is not always same on all screens.

My jomsocial site is up and running well. I am open for some suggestions. On the backend under monitor activities, I have 74 pages of activities. Does it help to delete or put some of the older activity pages in archives. Does that "free up" some space or help make the site run faster?

Siniša Krišan Well, the activities will automatically be archived after X days set in configuration. It does not affect or speed up the site because activities are loaded through ajax, with "more" button or autoload. 4 years ago

Siniša Krišan Hi Smokin Joe

Joomla site by default use British English (en-G language and that is the default language for almost all extensions that you can find.
To suport bilingual or multilingual content on the site, first you must install all the languages that you want to support for all, Joomla, and all your components.
To install different language for Joomla is very simple. Just go to language...

I have a dumb question. I am on this page and am not friends with most the people on this page. Why can I see a module "Write a comment" at the bottom of each post. I just scrolled down this stream and "Write a comment" is under every entry!

I got my Jomsocial 4 working on my site and I noticed when people post or share photos, there isn't a place on the stream to make comments. Is there a way to enable "like" , "share", "comment" to show up under the photos all the time?

I have jomsocial 3.2.1 on my site and it only shows 1 comment. If you want to see all the comments, you have to click on "see all comments". On this site where I am at now, I can see 3 or 4 comments. Is there a place on my back-end where I can change from showing just one coment and let it show 3 or 4 before clicking on "see all comments"? Thanks in advance

Siniša Krišan if you are using 3.2, then yeah, you will only see the last comment.
JS 4 changes that as well, and gives you the option in backend to decide how many you want to see.
