Swedish translation fails on backend

Hello,
I installed Swedish translation for frontend and backend, but on the backend it shows some places English and some places Swedish. What can be wrong with this?

Hi Tom,

for backend language translation please compare it with /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini maybe your Swedish translation not same or not uptodate.

I'm sorry for late answer, but do you mean I can translate en-GB diretly from the community.ini file? I ask because I'm not sure what you mean.

Hi Tom,

I mean like this:
1. e.g: at Jomsocial backend in Swedish language still have this English words "The system will automatically revert to the default template for parameter"
2. find that words at /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini. you will find it like this

COM_COMMUNITY_TEMPLATE_PARAMETER_INFO= "The system will automatically revert to the default template for parameter"
3. after that please check /administrator/language/sv-SE/sv-SE.com_community.ini for COM_COMMUNITY_TEMPLATE_PARAMETER_INFO, if not there you can add it with Swedish language.
COM_COMMUNITY_TEMPLATE_PARAMETER_INFO="Systemet kommer automatiskt att återgå till standardmallen för parameter"

Hi Tom,

please follow this step:
1. open /var/www/html/administrator/language/sv-SE/sv-SE.com_community.ini and /var/www/html/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini
2. e.g: do want translate "Monitor" menu title. at Swedish still in English. Find that "Monitor" at en-GB.com_community.ini, you will find it

COM_COMMUNITY_TITLE_MONITOR="Monitor"
3. goto sv-SE.com_community.ini and find COM_COMMUNITY_TITLE_MONITOR, if not found you must add that language var
COM_COMMUNITY_TITLE_MONITOR="Varan"
(I use google translate).

repeat step 2 & 3 with other words. Because translation if from 3rd party, sometime they not uptodate.

Hi Albertus,
That went pretty bad, I don't think it was compatibel with js 3.2.1.1, so I had to remove everything nd install all again, but now only with english language. But the strange is when reinstalling I get the following on the right upper corner: Close Info and Open Info, and it's not possible to get it removed. :)
Would you look at it if you have time?

Seem for Swedish language still not exist for Jomsocial newest version.

about " Close Info and Open Info" I can't find it where is it. I think I missing something. could you please provide me the screenshot or URL? when it happen.

I checked you backend + frontend. all look great.

Hi,
No it's not alright. I just got a message from one of my admins who tells me it's not possible to send private messages from the Community, which I know others have said Before too. Please take a look on the frontend and look upper right over "Quick Search Module", there you will see a blue text saying "CLOSE INFO" and "OPEN INFO". Can you please help me, or do I need to reinstall Everything once more time?

sorry for my misunderstanding. now I already made the fixes for you:
[your site]/templates/beez3/css/general.css
at the bottom of page I put this new CSS rule

#contentarea2 #close {
	display: none;
}

that "button" from template it self, so I made that CSS to hide it.

Hi again,
I have one more last question I hope. On my menu, I'd like to sort it, but it seems I cannot find where to do that anymore. I tried on the backend but it doesn't seem to work for me, or it is Another Place that this has to be done?

I don't know if you got that it isn't possible to send private messages from the Community? The button hangs and nothing is being sent.

Hi Tom,

do you mean for main menu items? you can do that from menu detail page form menu manager.


and about private message you cant send it from member list or member profile
