Notification popup links not opening

Hi,
An issue has just begun when popup for notifications is opened in google chrome on desktop. The links are just not opening, it works fine on safari. I've cleared my cache and still exists. Has anyone else experienced this?

Weirdly it seems to coincide with a different issue, when posting a youtube video within a user's stream (tried several times), the youtube video is linked but will not open, plus will not open when other users try to open the video. However posting the same video from youtube as a profile video works fine.

Unsure if these things are related but both seem to have occurred at the same time.

Any thoughts?

The popup links not opening seems to be browser specific on my MacBook, I've tried it on other browsers and it's fine. I've restarted my Mac and the notifications are working again.
The issue with the posting of youtube videos in streams is still present irrelevant of browser, they post ok but the embedded player not working.

Please, try to upgrade to JomSocial 4.3.5 (you have 4.33).
Clear browser and Joomla! cache.
If that won't work, switch your template to Protostar and check again.

Hi Michal,
I've upgraded to JomSocial 4.3.5, cleared cache in browser, I don't have caching switched on in Joomla at present.
The issue is still present, interestingly when opening the page with the youtube video on my iPhone, the page prompts me to open a 'pop up'. See attached.
I cannot see this being related to a theme as this (I think) has only recently started happening. I've never ever had my site asking to open a pop-up.

I meant to add that when clicking the play button on the iPhone, it tries to open another page. When it does open it's a null page "about:blank"

Also, the issue occurs when replying to an existing stream thread, not when posting new stream item with youtube video.

This issue is caused by browser itself, you need to set it and allow popup on any URL, please read here kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/page.php?id=40874

It's not caused by browser issues. Please do not insult my intelligence!
This is a new issue that only occurs when replying to an existing thread, when creating a new thread and posting a youtube video works fine.
Kindly explore the issue further.

Could you check again... and if you can play videos I posted?

To replicate the issue:

1. Post a video on main activity stream (it may be also a text post)
2. Comment it with video URL
3. Video will be posted with embedly
4. Try to play it

Result:

It can't be played and player reports an issue.

Expected result:

Video plays.

This is not browser related issue.

I changed the player type to media element, and I able to play now



we have bug when use native player, we will fix this on next release.
