ISSUE SUMMARY:

My customer wants to give his user base the ability to search members based on their profile fields.

Country, zip code, state, etc...

We have added a filed called :Not Searchable

What we want to achieve is for the users that have this field check to be omitted from the search results.

I need some ideas from all of you on will be the best way to achieve this.

Jomsocial already comes with the ability of an advanced search, any ideas on how to not show filed as an option criteria?

The other option is to use "Joomla Search Plugin for Jomsocial" from www.nobbis.net . Has anyone used this search addon? Quite frankly I am having issues getting information in their German site.

During the registration process the member will be given the option to tick a box if he does not wish to appear on other member searches.

Can I exclude those members on searches.

If yes I need some assistance on how to make the change or a recommend a Jomsocial developer that can do this for me.
