ISSUE SUMMARY:We have an issue with a Jomsocial site in that it does not send contact request emails. I have tried all sorts of things around Privacy notifications, but the user does not receive an email from the Jomsocial site. If I message them from JS, then they get an email so the system can send emails, just not contact requests and other notifications.

I understand that these email sending events are driven by CRON, but even when I manually run the CRON URL nothing happens. There is a setting in JS set to YES to also run the cron on page load after 5 mins of the last. So in theory they should go, but don’t



STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Add a friend by sending a request
2 Set Privacy to Public
3 Ensured that Privacy settings for recipient were set to be notified by email for friend request

because you using jomsocial 3.2.x, the line will not same. please find that code around that line.

this issue is common at jomsocial 3.2.x, seem there is 3rd party conflict. so that code to force the email to be sent.
FYI: jomsocial latest version 4.0.8.
