Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Bug: Pages missing meta descriptions and canonical tags
They are missing on your site as you haven't provided any values for keywords and description in Joomla! Global Configuration.
You can check here:
www.jomsocial.com/community
that if those values are entered, they are displayed correctly.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Yes, but that means it's the same description for all pages. And Google reduces your Page Rank for thousands of pages with the same title or description.
Yes, that's correct. Content in community is created dynamically and there is no possibility to enter any metatags for those contents.
If you'd like to have meta tags support in JomSocial, please, describe your idea here:

Actually, it is definitely possible. You can just use the username and append it with "profile" "photos" or whatever is appropriate for the title and do something similar for the meta description. It's actually quite easy to give all users the same info, but add the username so it's unique.
I said that "there is no possibility to enter any metatags for those contents" what means that user can't add customized meta content as like in Joomla! articles or similar feature.
I agree that something you described is possible but still it's a feature request. We on forum provide just technical support and do not implement features or customize code in JomSocial source. This is developers job. So only thing you can do now is to post a feature request or post here:
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
