activity stream filter?all

Hi
I see this topic and i have same problem
I need to limit activity stream just for friends
When you are selecting activity stream filter by "all" you can see all activity from all users in jomsocial
I want each user only see their friend's activity

Or if i can disable only 'filter by all' it's so helpful for me!

Wow, topic you linked get lost somehow... but solution I provided there works 100%.
Changing this setting as I provided should set main activity stream with filter "Me and friends".
Did you checked it?

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Yes, i Know it,
but the real problem is when i choose filter by all in frontend i can see all users activity!!!

Of course you will see all users activity - because you set filter to all. So it shows all.
It does what it should be...
I presume that you want to forbid users to change filter and stay only with "Friends and me". Is that right?

Hi,
No i don't want to forbid them to change filters,
But i will be so glad if i can turn filter by all of or maybe forbid users to filter activity by all!
i don't have any problem with other filters but i don't want this filter in my social network( Filter by All )

Ok, then use my little hack:

Copy this file: ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/frontpage.index.php

to:

ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community (if you don't have "html" or "com_community" folders, feel free to create them)

Edit file and look for "COM_COMMUNITY_FILTERBAR_ALL".
It will be in line 90-91.

Then just delete whole:

Filter "ALL" will be gone from filters list.

But still if your users change filter to, lets say Photos, then they will be able to see ALL photos related activities, not only their friends. Unless other users have privacy restrictions toward photos (they are displayed for friends only).
