We think group name should be automatically displayed for group events when they appear in Event lists, Event modules, Activity Stream notifications, so that people can see which group is inviting them to an event.

example 'Susan created an event in Schoolteachers group. Summer Lunch on 25th July at Sam's Bar'

How can we make this happen please?

I have posted this in Suggestions for the Staff now.

However.....I have looked at this forum extensively for answers and I have seen many occasions where Jomsocial has helped people to display things in the way they need, by giving them some code! I do not need a new feature, just a bit of code for my site that will display group name in the Activity Stream for group events. I am very disappointed if you can't help, as I don't think this is a complicated request! The group name appears when Discussions appear in the Activity Stream, but not when Events do.

I have made a few requests recently, as we are at a critical stage of site development. Whilst reading this support forum before now I have been very impressed by you, as I have seen you be very helpful indeed to other people, and I know you are very capable! So I'm hoping that you can look at my questions and not say get a developer!

I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed.
Yes, we provide sometimes a code to users but only if customization is quite simple.
Your request require core files hack and it's not easy as it seems to look.
Core hacks are critical customizations as those files could change in never version of JomSocial and you'll be stuck with old and unsupported version.
