Hello, we have an issue with the multiphoto in the stream.
we are using Jomsocial 3.2.1.1 (but that was already happening in the version 3.2.0.6)

The problem:
one or many of the pictures are not displayed and just a generic icon is shown.

The symptoms:
The link to the picture is wrong, its using the current user and show no album and photo id instead of generating a link from the user id who uploaded the picture.

Here is a extract of the page source:

<!-- Single photo uploaded -->
     <!-- Multi photos uploaded: But lower or equal 4 photos -->

        <!-- Activity title -->
        <p class="joms-stream-photo-caption"></p>
        <div class="row-fluid joms-stream-multi-photo">
                            <div class="span3">
                    <div class="joms-stream-single-photo">
                        <a href="/the-network/750barb-mann/photos/photo?albumid=19&amp;photoid=66" >
                            <img alt="gold" src="http://huutaart.com/images/photos/750/19/thumb_8f5e3bfca1637d65fc640d3f.jpg" />
                        </a>
                    </div>
                </div>
                            <div class="span3">
                    <div class="joms-stream-single-photo">
                        <a href="/the-network/750barb-mann/photos/photo?albumid=19&amp;photoid=67" >

                        </a>
                    </div>
                </div>
                            <div class="span3">
                    <div class="joms-stream-single-photo">
                        <a href="/the-network/thomas-brenneur/photos/photo?albumid=&amp;photoid=" >
                            <img alt="" src="http://huutaart.com/components/com_community/assets/photo_thumb.png" />
                        </a>
                    </div>
                </div>
                    </div>

Thanks for your help !

Hi Tony,

do you have any template override?
please provide me Administrator access detail and FTP access detail by editing your first post at this topic and put it at Site Info form.

I need that for debugging purpose.

Regards,
Albert

Hi Albert,

We had a frontpage.index.php override but I disabled it for now in order to investigate this issue. We are using the yoo_solar theme from yootheme.

I am sorry but we don't provide ftp or administrative access to anybody. But you can register to our site huutaart.com its free. And you will see those issue as anybody who is registered can see them in the stream.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Tony,

I got this error when I access your site

your reported issue I can't replicate at my Jomsocial latest version, so I assume your issue is not a bug. Maybe any 3rd party causing that problem.
I can't access administrator + FTP, I can't do debugging process at your site.
I can't do anything. I suggest you to try to disabling any plugins especially System type plugins.

Regards,
Albert

Hi Tony,

could you please upgrade to our latest version 3.2.1.2? let see if the issue still exist or not.
if still exist, I need Administrator, FTP, and phpmyadmin access detail. I need that for debugging purpose.

FYI: edit your first post at this topic, and put it at Site Info form for any credential information.

Albert,
Thanks for looking closer - I appreciate this.
I just updated and the issue is still there. - I cannot give you access currently but will work in providing a test site for you.
This may take until next week for us to do.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi Albertus,
This is Tom, developer at huutaArt. I debugged jomsocial and found the issue:

1st: there is a corruption between the activity record of photo uploads and the actual photo table for some users. In the activity table (#__community_activities) the column "params" contains a list of photo id's to display. The problem (and I haven't found why) is that in this list of id's some of them do not exists in the existing photo table (I tried to reproduce that but could not). So when rendering the activity, the photos are not shown correctly.

2nd: in the file [ROOT]/components/com_community/libraries/photos.php line 119, the code does not take in account that the returned row might be empty. It checks to see if the photo has been delete, but it does not check the case where the database does not return any row. So it creates an empty photo element in the $photo array. To fix this and allow for a possible data corruption between the stored id's and the actual database content, here is a code patch that check this condition:

--- /var/www/huutaart-20/components/com_community/libraries/photos.php
+++ /var/www/hu2sandbox/components/com_community/libraries/photos.php
@@ -116,14 +116,13 @@
                             $photo->load($row);
                         }

-                        if ($photo->status != 'delete') {
+                        if (empty($photo->id) || $photo->status == 'delete') {
+                            $batchCount --;
+                        } else {
                             $photos[] = $photo;
                         }

-                        if ($photo->status == 'delete') {
-                            $batchCount --;
                         }
-                    }

                     foreach ($photos as $key => $data) {
                         if ($data->id == $photoid) {

This is just a suggestion, you might want to do it differently. I am going to patch our version until we can update with your latest code that contains your patch.

Thanks.

Hi Tony,

Our developer said:
The activity here is true, because you did uploaded 3 images. After that 1 image deleted.
Activity itself can not know what exactly did you do with those images afterwards.

our code not "calculate" every actions to activities stream, because related with performance issues.

Albert
