Added them, but its only a beta site, not live site. I can't push my users to it. Thank you.

HI, Guido.

Thank you. I passed this to our developer now.
He'll investigate ASAP.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

HI, Guido.

Please try to set:
Checking for new messages in active chat = 60 sec
Checking for new messages in other chats = 60 sec
At jomsocial backend > configuration > chat
and
Interval Time to Check for Latest Status = 30000
at jomsocial backend > configuration > site, Walls section

was all set instead of 60 seconds in active chat but its useless at the moment because I can't use it on a live site. Can you or a developer please answer all my questions?

Is mod_community_bar checking chats every second as timer is running 1000 ms?
Does JomSocial component navigation toolbar check the same way?
Where can I see the check script of component navigation toolbar?
What about JS Notification module?

I think at least mod_community_bar double checks if activated.

It's impossible for me to use the current version on a live site because it does not run well.
Please clarify where and when chats are checked. Thanks.

HI, Guido.

You may set notifications checking interval in JomSocial - here: prntscr.com/hnba6d
Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> configuration -> Site.

60 seconds is quite reasonable. If you want to go below that and you have a lot of users... well, you'll need a strong server.

Does this setting affect all chat modules and navigation bars?
I have a strong dedicated server to run two JomSocial communities.

HI, Guido.

Yes, it should,. They should follow JomSocial settings.
We plan to implement some changes in that setting as it seems to be most commonly misunderstood... what cause issue with site speed.

In my test cases the site speed got very slow on subsites where mod_community_bar and the jomsocial component where published. I think there are double checks. What about the timer javascript written at the beginning? Does this not affect the checks also?

HI, Guido.

Please, check your site backend credentials as our developer can't get in.
Then update the thread that it's done.

HI, Guido.

Our developer checked your site settings and they are fine.
So we need access to your site PhpMyadmin.
Please, edit your first post and add PhpMyadmin credentials.

Added details. Database was not accessable outside. It is now. Can you connect with software instead of phpMyAdmin?

Please reply if this is enough. Already another week gone... My membership only has 9 days left and topic started over a month ago.

Edit: Thanks for the new beta. Looks nice. But the problem persists: If either JS Toolbar or JS Notification is activated the checks run continuously. Please update those modules to have a global setting or use the chat checking time. In my opinion this way these problems could be solved.

It would be nice if you would answer our questions. It is disappointing that we are not getting on this problems for such a long time now.

By the way it is really disappointing that we don't get any answer to our questions in this thread regarding the checking times. There are always the same answers, let us check with ftp, everything is fine, don't an

HI, Guido.

No, we need to have access thru PHPMyAdmin.
Please, contact with your hosting provider. I'm sure they will help you to grant such an access.
