I have customized the profile page of JS 3 by changing userinfo and css of the profile page.
I am thinking of upgrading to JS 4. How different is JS4 from JS3 in terms of structure?
Can I upgrade to JS 4, copy my current userinfo.php and css files over, and transfer the customizations that I had made in JS 3 to JS 4?

here the jomsocial change log to know what changes we did from JS 3 - 4:

and you can copy the customization from JS3 to JS4 becuase the HTML and CSS completely different, and the templates files structure also different.

I have another question, when i bought the JomSocial, I started with JS 3.2.1.1 and installed updates with iJoomla Installer on my extension.
Recently, my server crashed and I had to reinstall all my extensions and components again but I am facing an issue with the JS since the only downloaded version that I have is 3.2.1.1.
Is there a patch that can bring me up to my last install at JS 3.2.1.6?

you can download it from:
www.jomsocial.com/download-old

after that, you can install it from joomla extensions manager. no need to uninstall anything.
