Photo Upload from Phone no Gallery

Hi is there a way to have the photo upload also include the smart phone Gallery files much like Facebook now shows on my Android. I found a 4 month old thread www.jomsocial.com/forum/photos-videos/21...allery-option#107339 which had the same issue. I did not test this on a i phone but please reply to a method to make this function more like Facebook or FaceBookLike. we are working thru these things on our subdomain /joomla3 the live site is the original 2009 Jomsocial

I'm sorry but I can't replicate your issue.
I tested it on JomSocila 3.2.1.6, Joomla 3.4, Android 4.1.2 and Chrome 38.0.2125.102 on Samsung Galaxy S3.

Gallery option appears: prntscr.com/6auknr

Also you should test this issue on JomSocial 4 RC1 (our Community) as we'll not release any fixes for JomSocial 3.2 anymore...

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Michael , thanks for the reply. I did check out the option on community here which is the 4rc1and it shows only 4 options when you pick image. 1. Camcord, 3. camera,3. voice recorder , and 4. documents. Looking to get to my gallery of images, I hit the documents icon. I see now that on my device , hitting documents opens the most recent file app which in my case was a map app (tracks) stored history folder. at that point I was able to hit the menu and nav to gallery. ( I note facebook opened from a browser on my phone did not open the file folder tracs)
My problem is we try to keep the process familiar and since Facebook is popular with my age group of users, the options that appear there are camera gallery, and photo. is there a way to make the post image option look closer to the facebook screen? I rely dont want to have voice recordings uploaded. is there a way to stop this option as well.
I will as you require update my site to 4c1 when it is stable. thank you for your quick reply and great work

Hi Gregory,

Well, this is device issue, on Jomsocial side we cant do anything, we are using code default upload code from HTML5, and of course this is different with FB since FB is native app and FB has own code for uploading photo.
