What's the purpose of showing image number twice? Can I hide one?

Inside the photo album, you have a box that you can type into that shows the current image name. Does it have any other function besides showing the image name? And can I remove it without messing up anything else?

Bottom field is used to change photo name... it's active only for photo owner.
But I agree that it should be DISPLAYED only for photo owner...

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
