Many 3.1 issues with videos and photos

That doesn't explain why the already previous uploaded videos which used to work, not working at this moment. Can you please explain

Hi Muhanad,

Have the details for front end login changed? i tried to login using the info in the original post as well as the 2nd login details you supplied but neither allowed access. The htaccess is not a problem just site login

Please advise

Muhanad,

I have received the details for the site but cannot get past the htaccess now, yesterday was fine. i have had a few support people try and it is not allowing them connection, I know this is frustrating but we cannot log in to check

Can you please edit your first post update all details and as soon as we can get the access they will login and check. Please edit the first post not pm so support gets the update not just me

Could you point me to video that actually doesn't work?
I tried few of them and they play correctly...
Played some first and last videos...


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,

Thanks for looking into it but I would have appreciated if this topic was then looked at closely before so i don't wait all this time to find out that my videos play normally in other computers (maybe with different settings or countries )

I don't understand those videos used to play fine before updating to 3.1 and shared videos from youtube are working .. why only uploaded videos don't work anymore in any computer i have tested here ? different computers, different ISP..

attached how it looks in all different computers ( has been tested in many, all of them have latest flash and java installed)

Hi Muhanad,

Once Michal confirmed he could play the video it appeared this thread was a local region issue and i presume Michal thought the same, explaining why there was no reply. At the time i was in Indonesia and i also could watch the videos, In Michal's region it was the same. I have now returned to Australia and i am not able to view the video, so whether this is region specific or site related i'm not sure. I will need to get Michal to look at this again. He will be on shift in around 5-6 hours form this post and will advise what he finds.

Let us narrow the problem. I'll need your help with this Muhanad:

- on what browsers you check this video? (name and version)
- on what operating system?
- what regional IP

Then we will know if this is browser, app or IP related issue.

I'm on Ubuntu Linux 12.04 with FireFox 25.0, Polish IP.
First load of page (after htaccess dialog box) gives me black square. But after reload I can watch video.
On FireFox I'm able to watch new (uploaded new video that is flv) and old videos.

So first - try to disable htaccess protection for a while.
Try different browsers on different operating systems (even on mobile).
Try to use different IP - use proxy servers: hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ . Try with Polish, Indonesian and US IP.

Operation system: windows 7

browsers: Chrome Version 32.0.1700.107 m Firefox 27.0.1 Internet Explorer 11.0.96...

IP: california:USA, Jakarta Raya:Indonsia, Guangdong:China

All not working

Android Samsung S3

Kuwait ip, USA IP

not working

i don't have other operating systems to try.
