ISSUE SUMMARY: I have a big problem with the JS login window keeps popping up.
I have renewed my subscription to get this popup issue resolved. Have the latest version installed. have disabled the stream refresh, But the problem still persists.
I will be very grateful when it is fixed.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Go to site homepage www.ehcanadatravel.com
2 popup login window appears, sometimes right away, sometimes after you wait awhile.

Hi, Collin.

I assign developer to this thread.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,

not sure why I cant reproduce this issue at your site. seem the issue related with joomla caching or 3rd party plugin.
please try this solution:

edit /plugins/system/jomsocial.system/pc_includes/ajax.php line 575, changing it from

if( $list[0] !== 'register' && $list[0] !== 'connect' && $list[1] !== 'ajaxUpdate' && $list[1] !== 'ajaxGetLoginFormToken')
to
if( $list[0] !== 'register' && $list[0] !== 'frontpage' && ( $list[0] !== 'connect' && $list[1] !== 'ajaxUpdate' ) && ( $list[0] !== 'activities' && $list[1] !== 'ajaxGetRecentActivitiesCount' ) )

I thought this had been resolved, but it just popped up again.

I have implemented your recommendation and will see how it goes.

Thanks Albertus!

I have implemented your solution, but now when an image is clicked on the stream to see a larger image, the JS login pops up, and does not work.

I have removed the changes and no the pictures can be viewed without logging in, in Chrome.
BUT if I try to open the image in firefox, the js login window still pops up.

And we are back to the original login popup issue.

Which I believe occurs in firefox more than chrome

Hi Colin,

I just test it on firefox, but the popup doesnt show, maybe this is cache issue.

I suggest you clear your cache first.

thank you!

It does not pop up all the time, but it does pop up if you keep the page open long enough.
I tried this code already, and it caused issues with the wall as described in that post.

On my last subscription to JS I had the same issue, and told it could not be reproduced. I renewed my subscription specifically to get this resolved.

It is popping up repeatedly again while viewing events in firefox. (not logged in)
This page www.ehcanadatravel.com/canada-events/vie...tel-quebec-city.html .

ctrl f5 makes it go away, but it again pops up.

Hi,

please try to changing session handler from joomla backend > system > global configuration > system, and set session handler to none.
and try to clear browser cache and cookie.

I tried to replicate this issue, but still cant.

Hi,

i'm sure this is cache issue. I tried at my browser (safari, firefox, chrome)
there is no popup at all.

If I visit joomla backend > system > clear cache, the caches always there even has been cleared and joomla cache has been turned off.

that cache from 3rd party, it might be from gantry template, asking gantry about it.

We use varnish for our cache, could that cause the issue?
