Hi Gabriela,
This is hard, how can I explain you further... just simple ask to them "Can I install imagick on my shared server, if yes provide me the detail steps to make it happens".. there is no options.. please you check this
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/JomSoci..._System_Requirements
, you can see this point on our Server Requirements
imagemagick - If you want to allow GIF animation uploads.
Hi
I can be verry quiq also - as i have cheked it verry well - you have right to not beleve, but i was.
All of there is match - except fmpeg - and we can`t upload video - agreable - as at this moment we install own server, but with .gif - i don`t agree.
In description is nothing about special requirements or acces to server setting for .gif- as of course commands sudo i can`t execute on they servers.
Normaly - not?
Ok - i will try to ask them for imagemagick - but i`m not exited to do this at all
Regards
Hi,
Maybe you missed it, which you didnt read the upload gif requirments :)
Yes, because you are using shared hosting, you have limitation access to use SUDO or anything code for accessing root on shared hosting
ask the host server is the a wise solution :)
thank you
Hi
By the way - even the guys from VPS/N don`t have any acces on SUDO )))
let`s be serious...
Don`t give servers companies so many rights...
Any way ... as soft is not for programers - as you sell also ... not programers licence all shold be simplier ... because not all your customers are able to run sudo comands - even on VPN or not VPN - features is well - but shold take it easier a little bit.
Regards

Hello,
Thank you for contacting support. I am sorry that you are having issues with Imagemagick. However, it is already installed on the shared server. Here is a link to an article that shows you how you can test it.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
Hi
As i have told previously - on our site gif images run fine under oters components - so from here can be deducted as normaly as Imagemagic is installed under the server.
Here come by his self logical question ...Why jomsocial .gif images are not workig?
Regards
Hi,
Good news, so whats is the imagick path? So you need to setup the imagick path manually from photos configuration.
Thank you

Hello,
Thank you for contacting support. I am sorry that you are still having issues with the Imagemagick path. These are the paths you can use:
/usr/bin/convert
/usr/bin/mogrify
I have setuped both one by one - no one is working for jomsocial
Hi Gabriela,
This issue caused by conflict configuration with JSPT, which some of profile type from JSPT doesnt have the imagick path configuration.
Please you check them all..
NOTE : I add the imagick path manually for making it works, but another issue happens, different with this original issue, maybe this is a bug
thank you!
Not yet, we will let you know once the patch available..
