Avatar upload on registration not working when URL rewrite is enabled

Good day,

I have an issue with the avatar uploading on registration form which isn't working when the URL rewrite in the Global configuration is enabled. I tried using the Joomla's default htaccess file, thinking my custom htaccess can cause the issue, but not. I disabled all the caches and sef plugins, also no result. I unhooked XIPT as well, using Jomsocial's only registration process, but didn't fixed it. Then i just disabled the URL rewrite and the SEF friendly URL's in the Global configuration file, and voila, it worked. I think something has to do with the URL being sent, but right now I am unable to investigate the problem further, because I think it will take long until I detect the issue myself. Therefore, I kindly ask you to assist me with this bug and help me solve it. I also think it might be related to another topic in this forum ( www.jomsocial.com/forum/profile-universa...doesnt-change#147889 ).

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Dimas, unless you're located in Russia, Ukraine, Taiwan, Brazil, or Turkey, shouldn't be any problem. I disabled the restrictions now. Check now please.

And please if you don't mind, I prefer my domain not to be specified publicly in forums since it's viewed by members here. I prefer it to remain confidential, between me and the support team only, unless it's really necessary. We both know which domain we talk about. I am a person who cares about discretion.

I already removed your site on my latest post above.

Please you upgrade your Jomsocial to the latest version 4.1.4 for fixing this, if this issue still happens, set the photos menu for public instaed for registered only.

Good morning Dimas

I am not yet ready to update since I made lots of customizations and this may break my site. Would you please tell me what files i should look for and replace instead? I can then compare the code and apply it safely without losing my changes. Thank you lots

I realised I haven't applied the template override yet. I just did it, but first I have to think if there are other customizations i made besides the templates, so I can update safely. Thanks, I will try your suggestion with the photos menu for the moment until I'm ready to update to the latest version, otherwise I will come back again with a new topic if necessary.
