Hi!

I just noticed a problem with posting the happy smiley face mood on my JS website :(

I noticed this problem a while ago and figured I'd wait until the next JS update to fix the problem.

Two updates later the problem is still there both in the front-end and back-end.

When making a post and trying to add happy mood it posts a corrupted image - check out the screen shot.

The same corrupted image can be found in the back-end as well.

I quick solution would be to just re-upload that mood image, but was just wondering why this happened to me in the first place and why updating to new JS releases did not fix the problem since JS is technically being re-installed.

My only guess as to how or why this could have happened would be FTPing my website using Filezilla.

When downloading my website from my live server to local using Filezilla there were a few files that somehow already existed and asked me if I wanted to overwrite the file/files.

I was surprised that I even encountered this issue, but said yes to all cases.

It happened maybe 5-10 times and I did not take note of the name of the files.

Could this have been the issue when syncing up my local website folder with the live host server???

Any clues and insight would greatly be appreciated!!!

For now, where can I get just this one file in order to re-upload it???

Would you mind sending it to me?

Also, why does updating to new JS version not fix the problem as I thought it would???

Thanks!
-Alex

P. S. Could there possibly be other files that could have been corrupted as well and could be affecting the look and performance of my website without me even yet realizing it?

So far that is the only issue I have noticed and do not want to do a backup to previous state because I made a lot of changes since the last back up.

Performing a backup would be a quick solution, but for now hope that is the only issue with my site.

Would you guys suggest backing up just to be sure or should I just deal with potential future problems as it comes along?

Thanks.

LOL - the happy icon has gone missing?!?!

Are other users having the same issue or is it just us for some reason?

And while on the topic - if I wanted to import my own mood icons what file format does it have to be in and what are dimensions?

This is something I was eventually going to look into for I want to add some of my own moods with custom text + icon.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Does the file format matter?

Can it be an image like .png or does it have to be a .ico?

I'm afraid the problem is much bigger than a quick re-upload of image file :(

I tried re-uploading the image multiple times and still have the same problem :(

Any idea as to why this is happening?

Are other users reporting the same problem?

Just deleted the first mood - happy mood - and made a new one with the image you gave me with the same details and it worked, thanks!

Hey,

So deleting and re-uploading the happy mood worked, however, now all of my users posts that had the previous happy mood is gone :(

I also didn't see your post about clearing browser cache and didn't think deleting the mood and making a new one would have changed all of the previous posts that had already been made.

If this happens in the future is there a better way to fix this problem and would it be possible to still fix this now?

Maybe change the mood ID back to what it was previously?

When I made the new mood it's order was all the way at the end and I placed it back up at the top to be the first one, but its ID was probably different.

Also, if I were to do a backup to a previous state would I lose new users that joined since then?

Bellow is a screen shot showing a post with the happy mood being used and now it's gone :(

Thanks.
