Upgrade from 3.2.1.6 to 4.0.6 stuck

I got the same issue as described here: http://www.jomsocial.com/forum/installation/26171-upgrade-from-4-0-3-to-4-0-5-stuck , only with different version numbers: I'm upgrading from version 3.2.1.6 to 4.0.6

error_log shows the following:
PHP Fatal error: Class 'CBadge' not found in /home/ottoinfo/public_html/portal/modules/mod_hellome/tmpl/default.php on line 109

Problem solved: Wrong file permissions prevented some files from being updated.
