Hi,

Is there anyway to modify the order of the countries displayed in the existing profile country field so that United States displays by default (at top)?

Hi,

Currently the countries order based on alphabetically, just my suggestion, instead you put United States on the top i think you can set United States as default country, we already have that hack for that, please you check this www.jomsocial.com/forum/profile-universa...efault-country#97882 , and change the country string to "COM_COMMUNITY_LANG_NAME_UNITEDSTATES"

thank you

Hi and thanks.

I added the following to my existing document.ready function:

joms.jQuery( document ).ready( function(){
joms.privacy.init();
joms.jQuery('#field11').val('COM_COMMUNITY_LANG_NAME_UNITEDSTATES');
});

But it is still not working. ???

please you use this one :

<script type="text/javascript">
	joms.jQuery(document).ready( function(){
			if(joms.jQuery('#field11').val() == "") joms.jQuery('select').val('COM_COMMUNITY_LANG_NAME_UNITEDSTATES');
		});
</script>

Your site is unaccesable so I cant test it.

Hi,

Sorry that does not work either :(

Honestly, I don't think joms.jQuery('select').val('COM_COMMUNITY_LANG_NAME_UNITEDSTATES'); will work since we have multiple select inputs (custom added to the profile). How would JQuery know to just update the #field11 select?

Our server is up and running if you would like to login and take a look. PLEASE NOTE: The active register.profile.php is overridden at:

/templates/thechaplainconnection/html/com_community/register.profile.php

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hi,

I still cant access your site, so I cant debug it directly..

if you changed the id and created some new fields, you can change the #field11 to your new id, eg #field20.. you know how to get the id of custom field, right?

thx

Huh? Do you see the admin URL and login information I added to this thread? Maybe not.

I am going to close this thread, open a new summarized thread and ensure that the admin login details are provided.

Thanks for your support.

What Has Been Tried Already

As per: www.jomsocial.com/forum/profile-universa...fault-country#97882 I have tried adding the following code additions:

<script type="text/javascript">
	joms.jQuery(document).ready( function(){
		if(joms.jQuery('#field11').val() == "") joms.jQuery('select').val('COM_COMMUNITY_LANG_NAME_UNITEDSTATES');
		});
</script>

and also tried:
<script type="text/javascript">
	joms.jQuery( document ).ready( function(){
		joms.jQuery('#field11').val('COM_COMMUNITY_LANG_NAME_UNITEDSTATES');
	});
</script>

Both have NOT WORKED.

Thanks
Chris

hi Crish,

Your code is broken, I see the error from this code :

function ccSubscriptions() {

			if (joms.jQuery('input[name=field41]').val() == 'Yes')
			//	ccPost('HCCN eMail List', ,
			//		, );
			}

		}

I am not sure where its coming from, from your code or maybe from 3rd party Subscriptions plugin.
