hi, there is a way to make the events multilanguage?
So i need to know where to place some JText::_('xxx') for use language vars (i mean for use lang vars in title, short description, description)..

PS: For the next js releases it could be very helpful allows the admins to set the event language (as joomla articles do..)

Hi, Alfredo.

Good idea to use language constants... but it will work only if user that creates event has access to backend as well.
If you want to do events multilanguage, you'll need to edit a whole bunch of files. browse to ROOT/components/community.templates/default and look for files that have "event" in file name. They all are related with events.

I'm not sure if JText could be use in everyplace there... but you may try.

Your idea of multilanguage option for content is quiet interesting. But you need to post it here first: uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

i'm not sure anymore it's doable..i searched for "$event->title", the results are 74 matches in ~30 files...(just for event title)
Don't think it would worth the time..

Hi, Alfredo.

:) event if customize it to use language constant... do you imagine to create event title constant fox 3 languages... then event description and summary for 3 times? It will be a great mess in language override though...
