Hi, Anthony.
Disable current plugin and please, try to use our RC JomSocial Kunena integration plugin (attached).
As with the last customer you recommended this fix to, I too have found that this 'FIX' has not resolved this dis-functional plugin update. I posted a screen capture of the plugin above and have explained that the dis-functional update also deletes two language keys.
PLG_KUNENA_TITLE
and
PLG_KUNENA NO FORUM POST
I adjusted these two entries and found that after adding your update (Kunena-Jom...8-02.zip), these two entries are again overwritten in the en-GB.plg_kunena_community.sys.ini file.
and the plugin still does not display the Kunena forum v 3.0.6 messages. It used to work with earlier versions.
Hi, Anthony.
Ok, please, roll back changes - I assign developer to this thread.
Hi Anthony,
could you please provide me FTP and administrator access detail?
I need that for debugging purpose. I tried at my Jomosocial with Kunena (all using latest version). No issue with that plugin.
FYI: for any credentials information. please put at Site Info form by editing your first post at this topic.
Regards,
Albert
Thanks Albertus, I have updated the details required, please inform me of any changes you make to files and/or scripts.
Why do you require admin access when you cannot disable a plugin from the plugins list. I did disable the plugin and tested the posting feature, but no change. The kunena-alphauserpoint plugin is one of the most critically used features of the site, how long would you need it disabled for?
Hi Anthony,
I used admin access only for debugging purpose. After I found the problem, I revert back any changes like before.
I tried at my "site" using Jomsocial latest version 3.2.1.2, no problem if I using alphauserpoint plugin. please upgrade your Jomsocial.
Regards,
Albert
I updated JomSocial core to v3.2.1.2 as advised, everything seems to have settled down again, I hope this is not the case every time other components are updated. That pretty much ensures that we have to continue buying JomSocial licences just to keep our JomSocial based sites functioning.
The plugin still does not show it's options and has not since your colleague (Michal) suggested updating the Kunena - JomSocial Integration plugin see screen capture included in the first thread on this topic.
I have found another JomSocial fault with the user avatars and seems to affect random accounts, I for one have an avatar associated with my account however my avatar is displayed in the welcome toast on the top right of JomSocial Dashboard. But does not display in the Most recent list below. all that shows is a generic male avatar. What could be the cause of this?
I think you're missing the point... I stated in red above that the issue is far from resolved, previously posted updates are now being displayed once again, however new content from kunena forum is still not being updated in jomsocial activity feed.
While I agree that the avatar issue requiires yet another thread, this current updates matter requires your immediate urgent attention.
This is somewhat ridiculous that every post/reply takes in excess of 24 hours to gain even the simplest response let alone resolution.
Hi Anthony,
for deep debugging purpose I need to donwload your site using Akeeba backup, for make local copy.
I can't do it at your live site. it can damaging your site.
please provide me valid administrator access detail, because rightnow I can't access administrator page.
Regards,
Albert
I have added your superuser login for you.
Problem specifics:
Since updating both kunena and jomsocial, messages from kunena are no longer being updated to jomsocial's activity streams. After rolling back mykunena plugin, the existing kunena updates were once again displayed, however all old entries have been dated with one date.
Michal's suggested fix made matters worse and caused all kunena feeds to disappear from jomsocial activity feed. Then he tells me to remove his fix without telling me what files were modified or replaced. Now as a result I have hundreds of members activity updates with incorrect submission dates.
Lastly no new updates or their replies are being posted to jomsocial activity feed.
