It's a long time since I've been here now, but anyway I did renew of my js, and here comes the problem below.

After installation, js does not show on the mainsite, but Everything look like it's done the right way. When I click on Jomsocial on the backend, I'm not sure about what I get up. But the mainsite are not showing up anything, just joomla site.
Would it be possible to get some help on this issue?

Is that fresh install? if yes you still need setup the Joomla things. Because Jomsocial is a Joomla component.
If you want make Jomsocial as home page (as attached), from menu manager.

I got up the site now after your suggestions, but it does not work to edit profile. Is there anything I need to look over more? It seems it's a lot of new stuff since I was using JS, but then it was 2.8.4. :)

Addition to the reply is when i turned off Everything in the SEO the site would work, but it's not possible to set in the meny of what people can find on the site, nor either does it work to register for some reason. It seems people has to register on two different sites?

seem URL rewriting not working please contact your hosting support how to setup proper .htaccess because some hosting have they own configuration.

I've tried my best to try to fix my problems, but without any uck so far. Could you please tell me/help me to remove jomsocial and all the Components so I can start over again? I'm sure there are a problem but I can't find it.

Hi Tom,

If you can, better you delete all files and install fresh Joomla. after that try to make Joomla standard page with single article, and turn on SEF + URL rewriting.

If you still got error 404 at visiting any menu, you must ask your server support to setup proper htaccess at your server. after SEF + URL rewriting running well at Joomla standard, you can install Jomsocial.

If you can delete all files, goto Joomla extention manger - manage. you can uninstall everything at there.

I uninstalled both Joomla and Jomsocial and reinstalled it all, and it now sem to have been fixed. The only thing I wish I could get is a Swedish language pack, but it seems its only for Joomla which I did install, but not for Jomsocial. Is there any other Swedish languagepack for Jomsocial that will work with this new version?

And Another question, how can I get these modules to be set right? I find it so difficult with this new version även if I like it very much. Can you help out with that, and the same with my .htaccess?

I don't know where to find the php.ini file since Iäm not so good technical.

basically Jomsocial Language provided by 2rd party. we officially only provide English.
Here the language addons:

for modules position depend on your template position, but Jomsocial also having build in position, documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions

for php.ini, at Joomla backend: http://[site URL]/administrator/index.php?option=com_admin&view=sysinfo php information you can see your php.ini location at /etc/php.ini

for htaccess problem, you need to asking your hosting support. I think they have some restrictions, because of that htaccess for URL rewrite always got server error.

Trying to to set the example of Active gruops, men this is what I get:

Community - Active Groups

No active groups.

And then on the top right it says Stäng Info or Open Öppna info (in English Close or Open Info. How can allthese txt be gone?
Then are my meny totally wrong and where it says Jomsocial on the FrontPage, it should have been Start, but obviously I cannot change that either, for som reason since it says it has to be set to Home?

I changed Jomsocial to Start, so it should work to get the site up when using the url www.sexochatt.se/
I just understand that alot has been changed since I used version 2.8.4 and I can't even get my modules as I like them, but the wish had been to get it like your demo site, but for me it wont work, even if I use the instructions I got. It seems most of it are being on the profile page.

Then I see it says top right with the search function Open or Close Info (in Swedish Öppna eller Stäng Info) and I cant get ride of that either.

I hope you will/can help me out, becuase I'm totally stuck.
