Hello,
I tried to install a test-joomla, including jomsocial on an ubuntu-server. But after installing JomSocial my backend is blank. It only shows a white site.
I also tried to enable the error log via php.ini or htacces. But this didn´t work either. Even after restarting the apache server I didn´t get any error messages.
Hi, Uwe.
Please provide us with working administrator credentials.
I can't login to your site backend.
Please, edit your first post and add credentials to corresponding fields.
The joomla installation for testing jomsocial is installed on an local ubuntu server without access to the internet. I also tried to install Jomsocial on my webspace. There it workes fine. But I have to do some changes and tests before I use JoomSocial online. Thats why I need JomSocial to run on my local server. :-/
Hi, Uwe.
Then only thing I could advise you is to set error reporting to maximum like this: public $error_reporting = 'maximum'; in configuration.php and post on forum error notice.
Hello Michal,
my ubuntu-server is now connected to the internet. Could you help me with my porblem if I give you acess to the server via TeamViewer? I attached the TeamViewer ID and password to the message at my first post of this topic.
Hi, Uwe.
If its connected to Internet how could I reach it backend?
I connected with you via TV and saw that you enabled error reporting... so what error notice you have when you try to access backend?
Hello Michal,
that´s the problem. Even after I enabled error reporting, joomla doesn´t show any error message. I opened Joomla on my browser for you. So you can see it by yourself. :-/
New Login-Data for TV in 1st post.
Hi, Uwe.
Well, I was unable to log in ^^
But check error reporting settings of your server then. Some error should be displayed.
If not (I had such a causes before) it means that you have server misconfiguration (when I installed a copy of the system on my live server there was not blank screen issue) or it doesn't meet JomSocial system requirements:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/System_Requirements
Hi Michal,
I checked the system requiements you posted, but it seems like all requirements are met. There must be another reason why joomla doesn´t show an error message. I turned on my TeamViewer and attached the login data to the message at 1st post.
Hi, Uwe.
System requirements I posted apply to JomSocial.
Error displaying depends on your server configuration... well, we can't help you a lot if we don't see error notice.
Try on live server maybe?
Hi Michal,
I´m finaly getting an error message from my joomla installation. I hope you can help me solving the following problem:
The most recent request was denied because it contained an invalid security token. Please refresh the page and try again.
Hi, Uwe.
No, this is not error notice I expected. It's not an error really, but a notice that token for log in is already in use. It happens when someones try to login again on the same credentials...
