Since we updated jomsocial to catch up with the new 3.3.0 Joomla! not only the website speed has decreased significantly (about half!) but Jomsocial admin faced low speed as well. This problem can be covered by unpublishing community modules such as latest members, online members and latest activity in home page.
Is there any suggestion to overcome?
Hi Arasp,
you can try some solution:
1. clear any cache at joomla maintenance
2. increase (double it) your memory limit from PHP.ini, you can contact your hosting support if don't know how to do it.
I hope this can help

Albert
Hi,
I tried both both the speed didn't change. I used webpagetest.org, when jomsocial modules are unpublished, site comes up within 10 seconds, when publish them it takes around 50 seconds!
Also for opening jomsocial in admin it takes a significant time rather than other components. You can check it by the admin account I already sent to you
Your immediate response is highly appreciated

Hi Arasp,
for css file you can use this tools:
cssminifier.com/
replace that css file with output from css minifier. that tools will compress the css. the file size more smaller.
and about backend, Disabling the jomsocialupdate plugin.
for reference:
www.jomsocial.com/forum/installation/953...s-xml?start=14#48720

Hi
I've tried all of your solutions and unfortunately none of them solved my problem. There is another component in our website, Joomdle, which has a plug in called user hooks. This component as you may know integrates Joomla! with Moodle. When we disable the mentioned plug in, speed problem will be solved. But Joomdle functionality is ceased.
We contact their support and they told us "The real problem is that Jomsocial is triggering user events for all users shown in modules, thus calling Joomdle functions for each user, making it too slow."
What is your suggestion? Our page rendering time is more than 50 seconds by enabling Jomsocial modules. This speed used to be less than 7 seconds before the latest upgrade by Jomsocial.
I am waiting for your immediate response.
Thanks
Hi Arasp,
sorry for late respond becuase I was on days off.
please try to edit the following code
/modules/mod_community_members/mod_community_members.php line 31:
remove the following code
$totalMembers = $model->getMembersCount();
(<?php echo $totalMembers;?>)
Hi Arasp,
Is hard to find what exactly the problem. I think the problem not at jomsocial member module. something overlapping with other modules or plugins.
could you please provide me your cpanel access detail?
by editing your first post at this topic and put it at Site Info form.
Regards,
Albert
Dear Albert,
I proveided the FTP account information in the first post.
There is also an admin account detail there that you can have access to the admin and check plug ins if you wish. We have unpublished any modules (especially jomsocial member modules) temporarily in the homepage now to prevent speed issue.
Thanks and Regards
Hi Arasp,
the problem I found only caused by User hooks - Joomdle. some thing wrong with they code.
- member counter already disabled at joomsocial member module.
- ant the query for displaying member avatar at that module already using limit = 10
so basically not load all users any more. but plugin: User hooks - Joomdle still make speed problem.
nothing can do with member module jomsocial code. the code must change at User hooks - Joomdle it self. because they code will problem with jomsocial member module.

Albert
