I am writing to you with questions regarding discussions within your components. If I set Configuration - Site - Walls "Number of Displayed comments" to a value lower than "5" is about page load under 11s.

If I set a higher value "Number of Displayed comments" to the more than 5. Page load is 20 seconds or more.

Can you tell me where is the problem? Here is an example: www.lady.cz/diskuze/groups/viewdiscussio...ni-kaficko?groupid=6

It is now set to default "5". If I set a value below 5 is all relatively okay. The ideal value is 2. You can advise us where is the problem?

there is no issue. Number of Displayed comments, mean: to put the limit at first time quer.
if Number of Displayed comments only 2 the comments need to be displayed more less, so database query working more faster. because the return data only few.

Dear Albertus, are you serious :-) You've said that there is not issues on pages where page load takes 20s (and +more) in thread where are 3-6 posts only? I believe that must have been misunderstanding. In attachment of this post are some of page loading reports (filtered only to text/html - what we are interested in). You can see 11!!! times loading of file named 1-rani-kaficko or in the second one is 7times loading of file 13-motivacni-myslenky. That MUST BE ERROR!
I'm afraid what time will need to load thread with 1000 posts to load? (6hours???:-)

yes, there are a lot of "ads" code, BUT BE SURE WE HAVE TRIED SWITCH IT OFF. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS.

BUT WE HAVE INVESTIGATED THAT ON MOBILE PHONE the SAME PAGE loads CORRECTLY and fast!! (iPhone 6s). But this didn't happen on desktop. Desktop loading is very slow and load multiple times with latency.

So and there is our problem: the loading of thread of discussion is very slow, and we find out there is multiple loading of html code with latency.

And this slowdown is increased by number of posts in thread.

So if we have 3 posts in the thread, user MUST wait to any action (click on attached picture in the posts for example) for 7sec, if there is 8 posts user must wait 25sec, SO ..OUR PROBLEM IS, WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THERE WILL BE 500 POSTS IN THREAD?? The discussions (our main reason to buy your product) will be unusable! It don't caused by ADS codes - they are the same across whole site and problem has only this page. And if we switch ADS off the problem is not solved.

Please measure time for loading thread with 8 posts to complete load, and you must see our problem. The loading time of the thread detail page (with or without ads codes) is unacceptable slow!

I don't mind to get the help as pay service but i NEED TO SOLVE THIS! All my investments to implementation of your product are wasted with this error.

could I have a little wish: could we progress to more "sophisticated technical" communication? The guys who implemented your products are specialist for Joomla integration and be sure they have tried "the basics" like switch off "3rd party codes" etc, etc. So if we have asked support of JomSocial, we need a little bit more technical advices than basics.

Hi Jan,

Technically our javascript action will work after all main library loaded, and seems on your desktop you need to load and wait some files before our code can be working.

And actaully this issue is not related with "Number of Displayed comments" configuration, I set it to 20 right now and its fine so far, on my browser your site is loaded in 10secs, even on the backend some ajax functions are still loading but I think that is not a big issue, on some functions we use ajax to make your site load faster.

If you have another point of view please let me know :)

Thank you for your explanation. But I have a different point of view. Let me explain why:

1) Our main problem (and main reason of starting this thread) is that the "zoom function" (clicking on thumbnail of attached picture in the post or playing the video included in the posts) isn't functional while loading site because of slow loading page . So users have to wait 20-40seconds until script us finished and then they can browse attached photos in the post.

2) The same problem is that "show more previous posts" isn't displayed until script finished. It's acceptable show it after cca 5-8sec, but not 15+

3) We don't understand - WHY this delay in the script doesn't appear on mobile phone? (iPhone 6x for example). On mobile phone this page works absolutely OK. And we can't find out how we can have it on desktop version the same way. (loading with completed script within cca 10sec). Mobile phone version has almost the same code, we don't have so much content cuts for mobile CSS.

I really appreciate ANY REASONABLE help or advice, because this kind of page (detail thread) is main reason we've bought Jomsocial for Lady.cz and we are very close to finish and this is the last important thing we need to solve to start our project)

Yes because on desktop you need to load more library and images, different on mobile device (iphone), i think your template doesnt load too much files and image on mobile.

But I am sure if you change your joomla template to eg, like beez template or protostar template (for testing purspose) the speed will be better. Your current template has many javascript library and make your site slower

for making your website faster I suggest you install 3rd party cache, you can choose the best for you :

sorry your answer isn't right.

I'm starting to be a little bit tired explaining again and again what you must see. Loading times of pages like: www.lady.cz/diskuze or www.lady.cz/diskuze/groups/viewgroup/6-povidani-u-kaficka are absolutely ok, but only one kind of pages are not usable www.lady.cz/diskuze/groups/viewdiscussio...ni-kaficko?groupid=6 . It can't be caused by global scripts, because it happen only on this kind of page! So please don't tell us anything about cache and layout and template:) etc...

Let's begin again:

1. Our page has only basic scripts on this page (thread detail). (our ADS codes don't count because when we tried to remove them, the loading time was the same). On this page are only scripts: Jomsocial, K2 & Joomla + template scripts from YOOtheme Warp Framework. That ISN'T PROBLEM. Do you agree, do you?

2. Our whole site (another pages) loads OK, within 6-8sec. THE ONLY ONE PAGE which loads is incredible slow IS JOMSOCIAL THREAD DETAIL PAGE. You don't see this difference? That CAN'T BE CAUSED by some our global "content" or "scripts", because all other pages on our site works fine.

3. You haven't explained to me WHY mobile version of the same page (with same script and as SAME CONTENTS as desktop) loads so much faster. Mobile version (loaded code and scripts) hardly differs from the desktop. It's switched to mobile design by CSS only, and scripts are loaded THE SAME! Do you agree?

4. Please see again the attached pictures of loading, and please comment latency time and NUMBER HOW MANY TIMES PAGE LOADS HTML CODE AGAIN AND AGAIN. See the latency in relation to file size!!!! I highlighted them all!. Could you comment this please?

5. Please see that DOM content is loaded within 3 SEC! Page completion takes another 22 seconds!!

6. Your mate told me that there isn't relation between loading time and number of posts, OK, Could you comment number of loading files (groups and 1-ranni-kaficko in thread of 9 posts, and number of loading files in 18-vse-o-pokozce in thread with 5posts? You see increased number of files (and time of loading), do you?- Could you comment this please? What will happen with thread with 500 posts?

7. Please is there any possibility on desktop to get as the same script as Jomsocial have on mobile phone? Because the functions are the same, content is the same with minimal CSS difference (hidden background for example), but loading time very differs.

I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE ANSWER FROM DEVELOPER OF THIS PAGE AND SCRIPT, SO WE HAVE A CHANCE SOLVE OUR PROBLEM.
