Uploading a photo to a group does not generate a notification

We are still having this problem. The file you provided previously was apparently overwritten during the last jomsocial upgrade. We have no way of knowing if the fix was incorporated into the new system.php file. You didn't comment in the fixed file so we can't tell if we should replace it again.

Hi,

the fixes has been included at jomsocial new release. this issue must be fixed at jomsocial 4.1.6.
please make sure it again.

We are still having this problem. We are running the latest version of jomsocial. When someone uploads a photo to a group the other members are not receiving any notification.

I saw your site still using 4.1.6, jomsocial latest version is 4.1.7. many fixes there.

Hello Albertus,

I just updated to 4.1.7 and we will check the functionality. However, you did promise that this was fixed in 4.1.6 and it was not fixed.

Hi Albertus,

The error I see in the back-end is 'User Opt-Out' for sending a notification for photos and videos.

The users say they did not 'opt-out.'

The "User Opt-out' status only displays for Group photo + video sharing.

*You can see this error in the Wake Forest Group.

Hi,

User Opt-out mean that user dont want to get that notification. please asking that user to have a look at they notification settngs.
profile > preferences (at frontend)

and admin can force that settings by reset it from jomsocial backend > configuration > privacy

Hi Albertus,

I 'Reset existing user notification settings.' and made sure Group Albums and Group videos was selected. (Screen shot attached).

However, Group Album and Group Video still says 'User Opt-Out' under Jomsocial / Monitor / Mail Queue when I share a photo or video in a group. (Screen shot attached).

Users say they want Group video and Group photos.

Hi,

after click reset, you need to wait until this message appear:
All existing users notification settings were reset.

after that user need to wait for new notification. previous notifications will not effected with "reset"

I clicked 'Reset' and see 'All existing users notification settings were reset.' (Screen shot attached).

I then shared a NEW photo in group Wake Forest.

The email notification does not send. It says 'User Opt-Out' for all group members. (Screen shot attached).

Hi,

when I debugging your site, I always got memory issue:



please increase that memory limit (memory_limit) from 512 to 1024 at your php configuration.

I cant access mail queue because this issue.

Hello Albertus,

This site is on a shared server, therefore the memory limit cannot be increased to 1024. However, I am able to load the mail queue screen without any problems. Please see the attached screenshot.

because I cant access your phpmadmin. I put the changes at:
/components/com_community/libraries/mailq.php at line 60
I comment out the code
