I am sorry, we dont have custom field on event or event, the custom field only available on profile.

For time being I suggest you put the addtional infomration of you groups from the group discussion.

You should modify or override the jomsocial template component/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/groups.form.php, add this code after line 10 :

$group->description = $group->description?$group->description:'STEPS <br/> 1.<br>2.<br>';

For exemple: I select a category group "X" and I read a already written description "1", or if I select a category group "Y" I read a already written description "2".
2. Can I have the possibility of select the category fist and later description form in order to "create group or event"?
