Request to join event: wording wrong in notifications (=opposite meaning)
The English used in several of the notifications for a 'Request Invitation to your your private event is wrong and conveys the opposite meaning of what it should. Language issues:
User X Requests Invitation to User Y's event, event Z.
- user X sees pop up saying “You are requesting the invitation of the event” but this should say “You are requesting AN invitation TO the event”
- User Y receives an email with the title "User X wishes for you to join the closed event, Z". This is the opposite meaning! It should say "User X wishes to join the closed event, Z"( ie remove 'for you")
- User Y receives an email with the content "User X has requested you to join an event, Z". This is the opposite meaning! It should say "User X has requested to join an event, Z" (ie remove "you")
- User Y receives a notification in global notifications which says "User X wishes for you to join the closed event, Z" - again this is the opposite meaning! It should say "User X wishes to join the closed event, Z"( ie remove 'for you")
Notification issues
- Also, the site notification did not trigger a red number to appear on the global notifications icon
- the email notifications of Request Invitation are sitting in pending without moving. Any idea why?
Thank you for your suggestions, I passed them to our developers.
Also an advice, don't merge few (different) issues in one thread like here: language issues with notifications issues.
in case like that they may be just missed...
