ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have found some more event bugs.....
A
1) I receive an invitation to a party. The party is 'invitation only'.
2) I go to Pending Invitations and accept the invitation.
3) Now I look in All Events for the Event, and I choose to say No by clicking on the "yes" on the Event listing to bring up the Yes/No choice, and I select "No" instead.
4) However, Yes is still displayed on the Event in All Events
NB The correct response is displayed on the Event page, but not the Event list.
EXPECTED RESULT - Display No if No is chosen.
B
1) I am invited to an event, which is 'invitation only'. The event Admin did not allow participants to invite guests
2) On the list of events I can see 'invite' members on each Event listing, even though I shouldn't be able to invite participants
EXPECTED RESULT If event Admin did not allow participants to invite guests, they shouldn't be able to

C)
1) I am invited to a private group event
2) the Event Admin did not select 'invite all group members', but instead chose to select/invite a few
3) Even so, on the Event list I am given the option to 'invite group members'.
EXPECTED RESULT I think in this situation the Event Admin should decide who is invited from the group. Other people should not be able to send invitations

D) If by mistake I click 'No' to an Event which I set up as my own party, the party totally disappears from my All Events, and my own My Events. It will not be found by Searching.
EXPECTED RESULT The Event Admin shouldn't be left with no party to look at, and they should be able to say No to an event they are running! It should remain on All events/My events with "no' as my response. It can be deleted if the event Admin wants it to disappear completely.

E)
1) I am invited to an event in a private group
2) the invitation appears in Pending Invitations
3) If I click No then the event does not go into All events/My Events
4) If I change my mind and want to say Yes, I can't find the event at all
EXPECTED RESULT if I am invited to an Event I can find it later by searching, even if I say No. People change their minds and decide to attend.

F)
1) I am invited to an event in a private group
2) the invitation appears in Pending Invitations
3) I click Accept and the event appears in All Events and My Events, and on Pending Invitations it says 'you accepted this invitation'
4) I change my mind and on All events I choose 'No' then the event disappears and it no longer in Pending invitations.
EXPECTED RESULT - in All Event you should be able to find a private group event you were invited to and said No. You should see it there right up to the day of the event. Some people change their mind about going to an event, and if the event has totally disappeared and can't be found by searching that will cause problems.

Hi, Susan.

I've tested your report on JomSocial 4.0.8 and:

A. I can't replicate this issue:
www.jomsocial.com/forum/events/27580-say...ion-but-can-t#134827

B. I can't replicate this issue:
This is what sees event owner: prntscr.com/7knwdw
This is what see event attendee: prntscr.com/7knwsv

C. I can't replicate this issue:
prntscr.com/7knzid
If group admin didn't enabled "Allow to invite guests" then no invite button will appear. Only admin could see it: prntscr.com/7ko19l
Nevertheless group admin don't have option to create group event invitation only. So can't prevent other group members to join event.

D. You mean if it's a private group event?
I can't replicate this issue. If event admin clicks "Not going" then it will disappear from MY events. This is quite logical as on My events list are only events that user attends. But event is still on all events list: prntscr.com/7ko25d so admin may join again.

E. I can't replicate this issue:
In My events will appear ONLY events that user attend... not any other events.
I have event in private group and invited member of that group. User rejected invitation: prntscr.com/7ko48q
But event is still visible in All events with "Not going" notice... so user always can change his/hers mind: prntscr.com/7ko4r4

F. This is similar to above. In All events will appear ALL events that user is able to join or see (privacy restrictions) and ALWAYS can change his/hers response.

Please, upgrade JomSocial to 4.0.8 and check again.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, We upgraded to 4.0.8 and most of these issues went away, except

D) If I set up a private event (non-group) and choose 'hide from list'. Then by mistake I click 'No' to the Event, the party totally disappears from my All Events, and from my own My Events. It will not be found by Searching so even though I am Event Admin I cannot find the Event at all.

EXPECTED RESULT
- The Event Admin shouldn't be left with no link to the party, as replying No could be a mistake and then they can't find the event
- Also, Event Admin should be able to say 'Not going' to an event they are running (because they may not be going!). But it should remain on All events with "no' as my response if I am Admin.

But if you can't do both these things above, it would be better if Event Admin couldn't say No to their own event, rather than they can say 'No' and the Event completely disappears for them.....

Thanks

Hi, Susan.

I tested it on JomSocial 4.0.9 and couldn't replicate it (also new D case is different than previously reported).
"Hide on event list" option will appear only for "Invitation only events". and will hide event on list only for event non-attendee. Event owner will see it on both All Events and My Events lists.

I'm sorry but this is not possible to be event admin and set "not going". You see this is 0 and 1 option (in 4.1 with additional case 2 - "maybe"). So user that has 0 (not going) can't be event admin because there is no difference between that user (event admin that is not attending event) and any other user (user that is not attending event at all). This is out of 0-1 logic scope.
