Hey guys I created a modified module template from the hellome module to act as a dashboard interface for our community users... if anybody is interested in this, let me know and I can post details how I did it...
AdamYou will have to make a few adjustments to the file above to fit your site as I modded it based on my site and did not plan for it to be used on another. There is very basic php used (I'm learning) that could probably be cleaned up by somebody else with more skills9 years ago
AdamThe invite friends link under My Activities goes to the techjoomla Invitex component so if you don't have that then you will have to change it to another link and the link to What Are Points? Under the My Points circle goes to an article page explaining points which you will of course have to change to either your own article page or remove the link altogether I hope this helps some of you and...The invite friends link under My Activities goes to the techjoomla Invitex component so if you don't have that then you will have to change it to another link and the link to What Are Points? AlexAwesome job!!! I remember making a post in forum a few weeks ago about something related to badges and moods and remember asking about why JS doesn't focus more in JS point and badge feature like easysocial. I remember making a post in forum a few weeks ago about something related to badges and moods and remember asking about why JS doesn't focus more in JS point and badge feature like easysocial. I think there is a lot of potential with JS points and converting that to AUP such as Quick2Cart supports points as payment. I am trying to integrate a point money social marketplace store and have monetary incentives to invite friends with like you have Invitex and other point monetary based incentives for using site and certain activity. I think points as money will make market place experience fun for my users and was looking for more modules/components that use AUP and JS points with rewards and badges and this level up as you go along system you have. This is almost EXACTLY like something I was looking for!!! Now we just need techjoomla to come out with an ewallet plugin for Q2C and develop more on this point badge level up system for user profiles and JS can be used in so many different cool new ways. You should sell this module as your own extension on JED and have JS list it in their JS addons page because I'd pay money for this and would want to help support you and the development of this idea Show more9 years ago
AlexQuick question though - for now is it possible to use native JS Hello Me in certain JS layout module positions AND this custom JS Hello Me module or would this template override all instances of JS Hello Me? Probably the latter case, but you with help of JS team should find a way to make this its own independent JS module that can be used in JS component pages with the old JS Hello Me module as...Quick question though - for now is it possible to use native JS Hello Me in certain JS layout module positions AND this custom JS Hello Me module or would this template override all instances of JS Hello Me? Probably the latter case, but you with help of JS team should find a way to make this its own independent JS module that can be used in JS component pages with the old JS Hello Me module as well because I still use old JS Hello Me module, but would love to test out your new version Show more9 years ago
AlexAnd last quick question for now - it looks like this custom mod is meant to be published in js_profile_top or js_profile_feed_top because it looks like the width is full width rather than the js_profile_side_top positions correct?9 years ago
AdamI actually made a new module position in the template file to put it where I wanted it. Keep in mind, that other than my profile plugin modifications, nothing else I modify gets over written by the updates since I am doing all of this within the template parameters. The answer to your question about keeping your existing hellome module AND using this. It is possible to have our cake and eat it...I actually made a new module position in the template file to put it where I wanted it. The answer to your question about keeping your existing hellome module AND using this. It is possible to have our cake and eat it to because the jomsocial folks actually took the extra time to ensure that the modules can use different template overrides. In your template overrides folder, place the file I uploaded in your /html/mod_community_hellome/ directory. I took a screenshot of how it looks from my joomla backend. Next go to your new hellome module that you placed above the feed in the user's dashboard and under advanced tab (click on 'Alternative layout' and you should see the name of the file titled member-dash as shown in the screenshot Show more
