Groups and core JomSocial functionality
Curios to know of a method for preventing Activity Stream posts from occurring (on main community home page stream) when a new discussion or new announcement is made in a group.
My understanding was that users of a site would not see activity from a group they were not members of. Perhaps the privacy settings come into play but there's currently no choice for "Group Members" or similar. Could somebody please educate me in the wayz of Group Usability? Replies

I agree, what are in the group, should stay in the group unless you are a member.

We had talked about this before, this really disturbs me, I say we should have this option in the backend to turn on and off for who needs it and who doesn't. You should only see content in a group if you go into that group or join, not in your news feed.
