How do I remove menu items from the public?

ISSUE SUMMARY:
How do I remove menu items from the public? I only want to show menu items for registered logged in users.

Hi, Jan.

By default whole JomSocial toolbar is displayed for logged in users.
So there should be no problem with it display.
I'm guessing that you refer to menu items in other menu.
You just need to sec access level for that certain menu item.
This article should help you: docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Access_Control_List_Tutorial#Access_Levels

For example, the screen below shows the Edit Menu Item screen with the list of available access levels.


Check printscreen under that text.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

I can't hide the menu items in the menu bar for the public. Highlighed "Major Indeks" in the att file...

Just change "Public" to "Registered" in this dropdown while editing menu item:

This is rather Joomla! administration issue - not related with JomSocial or Socialize :)

Everything worked fine before installing Socialize... It is set to Registered in Mega menu.... IT DOSEN'T WORK!

If you go to www.investwits.com you will see that all menu's are accessible from the front page/public.
