Hi, Alain.

I guess it has something in common with PLG_PUBLISHER_YOU_HAVE_BEEN_APPROVED = "You have been approved as an author."
It comes from Publisher plugin.

And it seems it has something to do with text encoding. Do you recall where this line was translated? In which file?
Then I could check encoding of this file - it should be in UTF-8.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,

Thank you for your reply.

As Publisher was already fully translated in french I didn't translated anything so I don't know in which file it is.

HI, Alain.

Ok, then I have idea;

1. Please, post how this line should look correctly in french
2. provide me FTP access.

I'll download your file system and will scan it in search of that phrase.

Hi Michal,

The line in french should be: A été approuvé en tant qu'auteur

I found it in the file fr-FR.plg_system_publisheractivity The line is ok there but it was encoded in UFT-8 (sans BOM) so I encoded in UFT-8 and uploaded to ROOT/language/fr-FR

But it doesn't change.

Hi, Alain.

File seems to be fine...
I corrected those entries directly in db _community_activities
But I assign developer to take a look.

Hi Albertus,

Where can I change my browser text encoding ? I looked in Firefox 44 but haven't found anything.

But as Michal say the file was not encoded in UFT-8 and after having corrected those entries directly in db _community_activities the issue was solved.

Same for all others browsers: Opera, IE, Edge, Chrome.

Hi Albertus,

Thank you for your reply. It was already on unicode. So I believe it was because the entry was still in the db, as Michal say.
