Hello,

we got a mistake regarding the translation of the time when something has been posted. It's fine when an action is some minutes, hours, days or months old, but a combination of two things, like in this case hours and minutes, is wrong.

The word "vor" is misplaced. I tried looking for anything in the language or template files, but the source of that mistake seems to be in the core files or something, I'm not sure. Any idea how that could be fixed?

JomSocial comes with English language by default. All other languages are contributed by community this we can't guarantee quality of translation.

You could fix it by yourself using Joomla! language override. Please, read this documentation;

I see what you're trying to tell me, but that's not the point. I know how to translate simple strings, but the problem I have seems to be a more complicated error. There is no simple string in the ini files or something that I could translate here. The order of the words seems to be fixed and I don't know where (at least that's what I'm guessing).

What I should've mentioned in my OP: both, the english and german language has to be supported. It's fine in english (as you just said), only the german language has that problem.

You'll need to fix translations for three language constants:

COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_HOURS = %1$s Stunden

Should be:

COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_HOURS = Vor %1$s Stunden

COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTES = vor %1$s Minuten

Should be:

COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTES = %1$s Minuten

We can't support any contributed translations except default English. JomSocial is translated in dozens of languages... how do you expect we find staff that speaks all those languages? :)

I expected the ordering of the hours / minutes to be part of the core or something. And looking into the language files didn't help me either, as I couldn't find what you just showed me.
But now it works. Of course I don't expect you to give me support for every language, but I simply didn't know that the problem was really the fault of the translation itself.
