JomSocial Expired

Hi,

I'm using a german and english language. German is standard. I add some new variables in the jomsocial languagefiles to translate the toolbar, etc. It works perfect with german and english.
Now I tried to add italien language. Everything is shown well, but if I add the variables for the toolbar, etc. the language switch back into english. If I delete the variables from the italien languagefile everything is perfect.

The variables are working perfect with english and german, but not with italien.

Any Ideas ?

Hi, Heiko.

It means that you damage language file by adding those strings. Probably some strings are not closed...
To add new language constant or translate additional - ALWAYS use Joomla! language override feature:
www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joom...ew-language-override
You'll never have issues like those with that feature. And in addition, your changes will be not overwritten during update.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

thank for quick responding.
Your are right, I damaged the languagefile by a forgotten " .
But I follow your tipp and use the override function from joomla instead modify the languagefile. It works perfect.

Thank you !
