JomSocial Expired

Hi.

I like to know if its possible to identify language strings like COM_COMMUNITY_POST_IT="Post It!" on the frontend.

I generally look for a word on the frontend (example= Post It!) then i go to the lang file and search for the word "Post It!) but sometimes its difficult to identify the right word. If i want to change the word "friends" and search the lang file for it there are a lot of search results and i have to check almost all results for the right one.

Im looking for a solution like; if i see a word on the frontend like "Post It!" can i find out which string is used for the word? Using firebug or whatever when i click on the word or phrase can i identify the COM_COMMUNITY_POST_IT string which belongs to the phrase "Post It!" ?

If there is a way to do this i really have less work to do while translating jomsocial...

Thanks in advance...

Hi, Tahir.

No, you'll not see language constant in FireBug as they are changed into text when parsed on server.
The only way is to search for word in language ini file ot use Language override feature: www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joom...ew-language-override

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
