Hi!

How can I translate my JomSocial 3.1.0.4? I searched the Hungarian translation at Transifex, but I can't download it. I can download just one file at time. And when i downloaded the com_community.ini file, and i updated it across FTP, it seems like this

Hi, Hilgier.

It's look like you don't have language files at all...
When I try to search language constant e.g COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITY_NO_COMMENT in both English and Magyar I have no results.

Please add to credential box FTP access data, I'll check your file system.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, Hilgier.

Uploading them into respective folders should solve your issue :)

Hi, Hilgier.

Ok, I figured this out.
It's not your fault.
It seems that file hu-HU.com_community.ini is broken and system don't want to apply it.

I created hu-HU.com_community.ini and copied inside all what is in en-GB.com_community.ini but I changed this lines:

COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_UPLOAD_PHOTO="{actor} added {multiple}{count} new photos{/multiple}{single}a new photo{/single} in <a href=_QQQ_%1$s_QQQ_>%2$s</a> album"
COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_WALL_POST_PHOTO="commented on the photo <a href=_QQQ_%1$s_QQQ_>%2$s</a>"
COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_WALL_POST_ALBUM="commented on the album <a href=_QQQ_%1$s_QQQ_>%2$s</a>"
COM_COMMUNITY_NO_LAST_ACTIVITY="N/A"
COM_COMMUNITY_PHOTOS_GROUP_MEDIA_PRIVACY_TIPS="This album follows the group's privacy setting."

to this:

COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_UPLOAD_PHOTO="{actor} {multiple}{count} képet töltött fel{/multiple}{single}képet töltött fel{/single} a(z) <a href=_QQQ_%1$s_QQQ_>%2$s</a> albumba"
COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_WALL_POST_PHOTO="hozzászólt a képhez <a href=_QQQ_%1$s_QQQ_>%2$s</a>"
COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_WALL_POST_ALBUM="hozzászólt a képhez <a href=_QQQ_%1$s_QQQ_>%2$s</a>"
COM_COMMUNITY_NO_LAST_ACTIVITY="Nincs adat"
COM_COMMUNITY_PHOTOS_GROUP_MEDIA_PRIVACY_TIPS="Az album a csoport adatvédelmi beállításait követi."

And as you can see it works for that part (see att.)

So I tell you what you can do :) Edit this file:

ROOT/languages/hu-HU/hu-HU.com_community.ini

Download language file I attached (or maybe you have it already on your hard drive).

And copy block by block from translated file on your HD to file on your server replacing English phrases in file: ROOT/languages/hu-HU/hu-HU.com_community.ini . Save after paste each block and see if it works.

After some steps you could notice where is an error in original hu-HU.com_community.ini (the one you have on your HD) and then we could fix that error.

Language files are contributed by community so we don't have direct control over them.

I translated block by block to the COM_COMMUNITY_GROUPS_RELATED_DISCUSSION_POSTED_IN

And then i copied all of the text, and nothing changed... Do i have to start again, and paste the whole file block by block?

Hi, Hilgier.

You saw on print screens that when I pasted certain block it worked.

You need to paste a block and check if translation is applied. If not, then try line by line in that block because it could mean that in this block is wrong row that crush translation file.

And it turned back to english!!! All of the text, but the file is hungarian! So i think, when i reach the XY line, itt will turn back to english... :'(

I did it! There was a simple error in the hungarian translate file.

It was: "COM_COMMUNITY_EVENTS_CATEGORY_ERROR="Az esemény kategóriát mindenképpen ki kell választani..

And not: "COM_COMMUNITY_EVENTS_CATEGORY_ERROR="Az esemény kategóriát mindenképpen ki kell választani.."

It hasn't the " on its end -.- What a fail :D

Now I have these errors:
COM_COMMUNITY_ALBUM_COVER_NAME
COM_COMMUNITY_SENT_YOU_MESSAGE
Event category must be selected. (this didn't translate)
COM_COMMUNITY_ACTIVITIES_WALL_POST_PHOTO

Hi, Hilgier.

I apologize for delay - we had a lot of test to do before JomSocial 3.2 release.
I'm happy that you managed with translation :)
Yes, simple omit could drive mad :/

If you don't have some constant in your language file - just add them.
