I am using Socialize Template v2.
I am trying to figure out to use the module classes for showing specific modules on some devices, and hide them on others, as described here:
socialize.jomsocial.com/typography/misc
The way I do it:
1. I copy a class from the
socialize.jomsocial.com/typography/misc
, e.g. .hidden-xs
2. I go to my back end
3. Go to modules
4. Go to the specific module I need the class to function on
5. Go to Advanced
6. Paste the class into Module Class Suffix
7. Update front end page and expect the module to be hidden on small screen devices e.g. my Iphone SE (1136 x 640)
Thank you for contacting us.
Do you add an initial space before class? E.g if you want to sue class "hidden-xs" you need to paste " hidden-xs".
With initial space and without any dot.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
I wasn't aware of the inherit space, but now I tried that as well in multiple ways, with cache and other optimization turned off, but still can't get any reaction to the different classes.
Could you please help me?
I am trying to
1. Show one "JS Groups" in module position "js_side_frontpage_top" for tablets and screen resolutions above, but hide from phones.
2. Show another "JS Groups" module in top-1 for phones only.
Hmmm, there is much easier way :)
Leave all those classes ;)
Try to use this great extension:
www.regularlabs.com/extensions/advancedmodulemanager
Free version will be enough. It allows you to have more control over modules. Event to set on what devices they are displayed ;)
Indeed Peter van Westen did great job ;)
