3 - Click On JomSocial Default Template
4 - No List Of Files That Can Be Edited Comes Up

RESULT - No access to template files source code so I cannot change the Socialize 2 Banner and the JomSocial menu choice on the home page to company name
EXPECTED RESULT- If I don't need to access the template source code to have my company name displayed then how do I removed the words "Socialize 2" and "JomSocial" and replace them with my company name

You don't have to fiddle with nay file to change that.
Just browse to Backend -> Extensions -> Templates -> Styles -> Socialize -> Theme and there you have option to change logo, slogan etc.
To change JomSocial in the menu you simply need to edit menu item title in Backend -> Menus -> Main menu
If you still want to edit template code than you need to browse to Backend -> Extensions -> Templates -> Templates -> Socialize.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
